Recently, I received a notification by our electrical provider that prices would increase June 1 by at least 30 percent per month with no possibility of coming back down over the next year. In fact, they said to be prepared for worsening rates in years to come. They cited climate change and Ukraine war even. LOL.

I am a member of an Electrical cooperative, we do not produce power, we buy it... and yes we received a notice of increase. The result will be an increase of 50 percent per kilowatt so jumping from 0.16 to 0.24; that will have an impact. That is not all, the Peeples Demokratic Repulik of Maryland is also raising the gasoline tax by .40 per gallon come 01 July. That will drive prices up near $4.00 per gallon for unleaded regular, premium will be around $5.50, and diesel near $6.40. Boy, am I having a good time.
We get electricity from Tennessee Valley Authority and so far we haven’t received any notices of higher prices. It may be coming though.
